On a road trip drive down to San Antonio to visit Sea ๐ World, the Alamo, and stay at the Hyatt Hill Country, we chose to stop ๐ at Stripes Gas Station, because I was that mom that forgot the healthy snacks at home ๐ก!
Being a gluten free mom ๐ฉ for the last 9 years, I knew Stripes would have options.
What are the options our family chose from? ๐จโ๐ฉโ๐ฆโ๐ฆ๐
โ๏ธ Fruit cups are naturally gluten and dairy free ๐. Ideally, look for the fruit cups with no added sugar that say in โfruit juiceโ to avoid artificial sugars. ๐
โ๏ธ String cheese ๐ง is naturally GF free. We โค๏ธ the ones wrapped in prosciutto or pepperoni ๐. We choose the ones that say โnitrateโ free and โuncuredโ.
โ๏ธ Coconut ๐ฅฅ Water ๐ฆ is a way to hydrate the body using naturally occurring electrolytes. Top favorite!
โ๏ธ KIND bars are delicious ๐, high in protein, fiber, vegan ๐ฑ and more!
โ๏ธ Beef sticks: Lots of brands and options here. Look ๐ on the packing for it to say GF and no MSG. At least we do in our family ๐ฅฐ
โ๏ธ Nuts ๐ฅ: Raw almonds, pistachios, cashews and more are GF + DF and full of protein.
