BRAIN ACTIVITY FOR BABY

Have you ever watched a pregnant mother sway back and forth while standing or sitting? That rhythmic movement is something baby is used to + has optimal development advantages to it. Rhythmic movement can be soothing for mom and baby to do together even outside of the womb.

Materials needed:

Parent + Baby

What to do?

Hold baby & sway or dance side to side while supporting newborn’s head for a few minutes throughout the day.

Why?

Rhythmic movements are a baby massage + stimulation to their inner ear (vestibular system).

Balanced brains = balanced bodies.

Cowboy football game day trail mix

Adjustments.jpeg

Our son, Jarrett, wanted to make a snack for game day to watch the Cowboys with his dad and brother. We had some gluten free Chex cereal that had a recipe on the back and Jarrett was inspired. It needed to be a little tweaked to meet the profile for our family, but were able to do so very easily!

This recipe does contain peanuts and almonds, but if your family doesn’t like almonds, then go for pistachios or another tree nut that is a fav. Peanut free? Then sunflower seeds would be really yummy. Regular chocolate chips would be an ok replacement as well, but for our family, we try to minimize dairy and avoid gluten. Try making this recipe with your little ones soon and let us know how it goes! It was a low-mess time in the kitchen with a big taste and satisfaction reward. Jarrett says it is, “mom and kid-approved for football game day”. :)
