We had so much fun at the City of Aledo, Aledo Fest, yesterday! The glitter tattoos were such a big hit, that I think we have officially found “our thing” to brighten the community wherever we go (and leave a little sparkle behind us 😘). Dr. Michelle Parker got this idea from when her and her boys stayed at the Hilton Anatole in Dallas and the kid’s concierge had glitter tattoos as an item that could be purchased. Needless to say, glitter is one of her favorite things, and could be said her favorite color, so of course we had to do these.
To embrace our logo, our amazing office manager, Terry Clayton + Dr. Darcy Goode dressed up as deer 🦌 with deer antlers and tulle skirts that we found on Amazon with the face decals Dr. Darcy found at Target in Weathford, Texas in the dollar section! Dr. Michelle Parker got to wear her favorite Halloween costume of Snow White while putting a modern spin by wearing Kendra Scott necklace, Nine West red wedges and her Ray-Ban sunglasses. Side note, did you know that this is also the costume that prompted her to cut her Jake from her hip-length hair to a super short bob 3 years ago? Of course her hair stylist, Karen Pelligrino, from Shear Grace in Aledo, Texas made the cut and perfected the Snow White look.
The day in North Texas was beautiful by us being able to trade the rain 🌧 for some crazy wind 💨, but loved the sunshine and warmth. We were once again impressed by our EZ Up Shelters tent and how well it stood up against the wind without any weights! We had our canopy cover custom designed to say Pediatric Chiropractic + Pregnancy Chiropractic on one side, then Webster Technique + Breastfeeding Support on the other, listing our services of Whole Family Chiropractic + Myofascial Release (which helps target the inflammation and lack of motion within the muscles and fascia to be able to get athletes, mothers, fathers, and anyone with a repetitive injury back into motion and pain free), with the last side of the tent having the words “The Only Pediatric Certified Chiropractor in Parker County” through the Academy Council of Chiropractic Pediatrics. Our table was decorated with pumpkins as well as organic candy options for the children from Yum Earth both snagged from Target.
We were also super proud and honored to be able to showcase our certificates being awarded the Mom Approved Chiropractic Doctor award from Dallas-Fort Worth Child Magazine for the third time. Those only deserve to be displayed in gold frames from Hobby Lobby from Lake Worth. We greatly appreciate all of the moms and dads that voted for us to earn this prestigious award. Without your confidence and trust for us to be your Family Chiropractor, it wouldn’t be possible. So THANK YOU!!!
We love being able to see our patients and those that we know from the Aledo community and surrounding cities when we are out and about. Aledo Fest was the perfect event for families and we can’t wait to see what the City of Aledo has in store for their annual Christmas Tyme in Aledo.
Did you get to go yesterday? What was your favorite part?
