The 2 biggest factors that we see contribute to dark circles under the eyes in children are either not breathing properly 😮💨 (breathing through their mouth instead of their nose, especially at night could contribute to sleep disordered breathing) OR food sensitivities/ allergies.
Yes, we know that some parents have been told that their children are more prone to environmental allergies 🤧(like ragweed, cedar, pollen, etc) if their parents suffer, but has anyone thought about WHY they might be more inclined to be that way? 🤷🏼♀️
The gut health and integrity has a lot to do with outward expressions of “allergies” and food sensitivities (tested through IgG + IgA) and allergens (IgE) should be ruled out to make sure they are not being consumed often. 🙅🏼♀️ For a more comprehensive list of potential symptoms of ingesting food sensitivities, see our post from yesterday.
We are able to help test for those here at The Chiropractic Place for Mommy and Me in Aledo. However, when we know that someone may be reacting to several foods, then we are actually more invested in fixing their gut microbiome and digestion than removing the offending food, only. 🥖🥚🧀 This is where we are doing a Gut Zoomer (stool) + food sensitivity testing (blood) to create an official game plan.
Think you have some food sensitivities or gut issues you want to get to the bottom of? Send us a message so we can get started on figuring out a game plan! 💜
